In high-end machining, we define quality not only by micrometres, but also by our ecological footprint. For Laro NC-Technik GmbH, sustainability is an integral part of our long-term corporate strategy. We see ourselves as a partner to industries that place the highest demands on efficiency and resource responsibility.
Our path to ISO 14001
We make our progress measurable. Laro NC is currently undergoing an active audit process for certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001. Our aim is to fully implement the environmental management system by the end of 2026 and have it successfully certified.
This will create a binding framework for us to continuously improve our environmental performance and fulfil legal and customer-specific requirements at the highest level.

Concrete measures: Efficiency on the shop floor
For us, sustainability starts right at the machine and in the infrastructure. We are already using tried and tested solutions to conserve resources:
- Resource cycle through chip recycling: For us, metal chips are not waste, but valuable secondary raw materials. Through consistent recycling, we return the material to the material cycle and thus minimise the need for primary resources.
- Energy-efficient LED lighting: Our entire production hall is equipped with state-of-the-art LED technology. This not only significantly reduces our electricity consumption, but also improves the working conditions for our precision experts.
- Energy-saving cooling concept (chiller free cooler): To ensure thermal stability in high-end machining, we install an intelligent free-cooling system. By pre-cooling the outside air, it will massively reduce the load on our air conditioning system. This system will noticeably reduce the energy required for hall temperature control once it goes into operation in mid-2026.
Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) & Transparency
We know that the product carbon footprint (PCF) is playing an increasingly important role for our customers in the aviation, medical technology and energy industries. As part of our ISO 14001 roadmap, we are working to continuously increase transparency regarding the CO₂ emissions of our manufacturing processes.
Our aim is not only to supply you with technically perfect components, but also to actively support you in achieving your own sustainability goals in the supply chain.
